Dr. Ayala was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa but moved to San Antonio, TX in 2005 where she completed high school. During her residency at Texas Tech in Amarillo she fell in love with the community and decided to make Amarillo her home. Dr. Ayala and her husband Robert have 2 daughters. She enjoys working out and was a personal trainer during her undergraduate years.
